Wordpress Church Theme Review
Wordpress Church Theme continues to be StudioPress’ top seller, for obvious reasons: this top notch Wordpress magazine theme is all you need to set up a beautiful, fully-functional website. Starting at the top, Church Theme has a well-organized header area, maximizing the usage of space to fit the logo, RSS links and 468×60 banner ad while keeping the body content as close to the top of the page as possible. All visitors are greeted with a dynamic shifting billboard box, which cycles through feature articles that you choose (each article you choose can have an image and caption assigned to it, which appears in this box).
An updates box integrates your Feedburner.com account, making it easy for your visitors to simply input their email address to receive website updates without you having to pay for an expensive newsletter add-on. Integrate video marketing by placing a Youtube “video of the week” on the front-right section of your WP Church Theme’s front page. Below the front page’s sidebar is an area for a pay-per-click text or box ad, category links and a skyscraper ad space. The center area of Church Theme keeps visitors up-to-date with your site’s most recent articles, complete with their own dedicated thumbnail images.
Upon visiting a single post page, your visitors will see a layout typical of major news sites like CNN.com and MSN.com: the article thumbnail is flushed left within the article text, ending with tag links and a 468×60 banner ad spot. All pages in Wordpress Church Theme utilize Breadcrumb Plugin, which creates effective internal backlinking by providing a reverse path going from the current page back to the home page.
Wordpress Church Theme comes complete with four additional color schemes: white, gray, black and red. Like all StudioPress themes, it’s widget ready.
